There's a couple of other, less prominent players. Bill, a retired cop and family friend to the Yosts, is played by Ed O'Neill (better known as Al Bundy). The Yost family matriarch, Mitch's wife Cissy, is played by Rebecca DeMornay . As a grandmother. Weird. Luis Guzman and Willie Garson are caretakers of the sleazy motel where Butchie squats. I also saw Willie Garson , the guy that played Stanford on Sex and the City . He was playing $5 blackjack at the casino that used to be the Barbary Coast my kind of guy! (littlecountrylo....gspot.com/)
At last night57;s Project A.L.S. tenth-anniversary gala, Jennifer Hudson was 60;preserving61; her voice by not speaking to reporters. But we managed to slightly raise the veil of secrecy on the Sex and the City movie by hurling questions at Willie Garson , who plays Sarah Jessica Parker57;s gay BFF, Stanford. After he described a recent scene to a horde of shouting journos with, 60;No! I can57;t give it away. I57;d have to kill you,61; we slipped in our query: Why did Big miss the wedding, as paparazzi shots of the set would have you believe ? 60;I can57;t tell you that either!61; Garson said. Then he caught himself. 60;What wedding? That57;s how I57;m supposed to answer 52; what wedding?61; Did we detect some gossip in there? Anyway, Garson tried to assure us that the movie is a whole big lovefest, too (even though we didn't ask). "We actually shot a scene last night with all of us sitting around a table, and it was like the Last Supper," he said. "It was absolutely ridiculous that we were all sitting there together (nymag.com....arty_town/)
Although I only recently discovered this series, I have found it to bea great source of laughter in these days of such discontent. Thisepisode, The Love , is the funniest one I&ve ever seen! I was cryingfrom laughter it was so darn funny! I attribute this to the specialguest star Willie Garson , playing Cupid, and the chemistry he had withMichael Landes (Nick), Alexondra Lee (Kate) and Danny Woodburn (Carl). There is also a very special performance by Michael Landes, as to notgive a spoiler, suffice to say that his character goes thru somechanges, and is hilarious! I&m stingy with my 10s, for both TV andMovies, but I&ve got to give this one a 10 outa 10. (us.imdb.com/title/tt0706574/)
The cast that Milch and Nunn put together last fall and winter for āJohnā was undeniably strong: Rebecca De Mornay pictured above left ), Bruce Greenwood pictured right ), Ed OāNeill, Matt Winston, Luke Perry , Luis Guzman , Willie Garson , and up and comers Brian Van Holt and Austin Nichols. But when the pilot script started to make the rounds, there was a lot of head scratching. (weblogs.variety.com....directors/)
Moments after I strolled into HBO's poolside party at the W hotel in Westwood on Thursday, I meandered aimlessly (or so I thought?) by a small group of people conversing in a cocktail party circle. I was still scanning the crowd and overall scene when I heard a familiar voice say .and it was printed on Variety.com that the show is good. and then the cocktail -party huddle opens up and whaddya know! it's Willie Garson pictured far left with Ed O'Neill ), aka lawyer Dickstein of John from Cincinnati , and no kidding (I couldn't make this up), he's talking about this week's On the Air column about taking a second look at John and how the cast is so damn good. I was stunned - so much so I almost kept meandering on, but I couldn't. (What writer could?) The timing was just too perfect , the entree too good to pass up. (weblogs.variety.com....r/cablers/)
After an admittedly lukewarm reaction to the first three episodes of this series, its odd tone really grew on me in its fourth installment. I still am unclear where it's heading (and given the less-than-enthusiastic reaction, I wonder if we'll have any better idea by the end of this run of episodes which could end up being all it gets). It's definitely some sort of twisted welding of surfing and spirituality, but I'm not sure whether it adds up or even if it can. What I do know is that I find the peripheral characters such as Ed O'Neill's ex-cop, Garret Dillahunt's mystified doctor and Dayton Callie's Hawaiian drug dealer, much more interesting than any of the presumed main characters from the Yost family. I even like the odd trio from the motel (Luis Guzman , Willie Garson and Matt Winston) despite the fact that I see no purpose as of yet for their roles (In the fifth episode, they don't even appear) (eddieonfilm.blogspot.com....chive.html)
Don't you hate it when someone leaves pieces of a game out for someone else to clean up? It's especially a problem when the piece in question is a gigantic pawn with a dead headbanger inside. The sheriff's department is working to remove Windom Earle's latest victim from the gazebo as we begin this episode. The authorities interview the victim's despondent friend Willie Garson and his tears prompt Andy to cry for the first time in awhile. Cooper has a concern beyond the murder : Earle didn't leave a move with his latest victim, which indicates to Dale that his ex-partner is playing "off the board." Back at the sheriff's station, Lucy informs a still upset Andy that she has decided that in 24 hours, she will choose between him and Dick as to who will be the father of her child, regardless of the actual paternity. What's funny, when you think about it, is if Twin Peaks continued and followed its format of most episodes covering a single day, I can't even calculate how many episodes it would take for Lucy to come to full term (eddieonfilm.blogspot.com....Television)
The doorman at Hyde was letting in even more irrelevant celebs! Clive Owen was back again (that's him at the beginning), Clea DuVall , Benji Madden (or is that Joel?), Keenan Ivory Wayans, LA Kings center Sean Avery, Lane Garrison from Prison Break (also a repeat offender) and Willie Garson (from long-canceled Sex and the City make an appearance. Many folks who havenāt been through the process, or arenāt close to someone who has, might think the film is over-the-top, but Iām here to tell you itās not. The film is so realistic that at some points my writer friend would say things like āThey said that to me word-for-word.ā And he was often able to predict the next line from the hapless director character (played by Willie Garson ) or the Machiavellian network honcho (a brilliant spot-on performance from Sigourney Weaver , pictured above ). But that's during the winter. What Lindsey doesn't know is that once baseball season starts, Ben belongs to the Red Sox. He has season tickets, and the seats are amazing: He inherited them from his uncle (played in an all-too-brief cameo by Boston comic Lenny Clark), who ignited Ben's adoration of the game when he was just a lonely, awkward kid. His friends (among them the always likable Willie Garson , from "Sex and the City ") clamor for the opportunity to be his guest at select games. (dir.salon.com....ver_pitch/)
Willie Garson , 43, is a beach town lawyer in HBO's new drama "John From Cincinnati ." He's learning to surf for the role, but luckily, "I'm not supposed to be very good at it." He's a long way from Manhattan and "Sex and the City ," where he played Carrie Bradshaw's best gay pal. The "SATC" gang will make a movie "if the stars align correctly," he says. But he loves his new job. "I'm a real believer in what makes a show successful is you feel successful doing it. You tell stories that need to be told and tell them truthfully."
