Lately I57;ve been very interested in the idea of pulling off a mission that involves multiple agents taking the same cab consecutively. If we came up with a detailed plan for the drop off points, we should be able to ensure that a cab driver picks up a series of agents, without realizing that they are connected. There are endless possibilities with this device, but in keeping with Improv Everywhere57;s philosophy, I decided to stage a very simple mission with the goal of giving the cab driver a wonderfully happy experience, straight out of a romantic comed (improveverywhere.com....omedy-cab/)

Soooo Mae West comes into play once again because she shares this record with Fields. They appeared together in "My Little Chickadee," to dubious comedic benefit. Mae seemed very unwilling to accept Fields as a romantic counterpart, first of all. Secondly, the plot is clueless and Mae lacks fodder for her brand of lusty one-liners. Her lack of interest shows. The network morning shows this year haven't always been tough questioners with the presidential candidates. But it bothered me on Wednesday when ABC's Good Morning America interviewed John McCain (the day before the New York Times unleashed its underbaked romantic hints-and-whispers story), and co-host Robin Roberts dragged out the old-age issue against McCain using late-night comedians to mock him. For some people, the romantic comedy genre is there to be sneered at.It&s a lower art form subscribed to by the uneducated masses, the sameplot regurgitated through a word processor with names, dates andlocations changed: Girl meets boy, she&s feisty, he&s snobbish, theydon&t see eye to eye How oh how are they ever going to end uptogether by the end of the movie? ). Admittedly, I&m not the biggestadvocate of the ol& romcom, but this film falls into the watchable category of romantic comedy . Of course it&s phoney and sugar-coated. The interracial romantic comedy Something New is not the usual alternative "chick flick" that studios rush out over Super Bowl weekend, several critics are suggesting. "I found myself unexpectedly moved," writes Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times , who rates the film with three stars and says in his concluding remarks that the film "delivers all the usual pleasures of a love story , and something more. The movie respects its subject and characters, and is more complex about race than we could possibly expect." Likewise Kyle Smith in the New York Post said that he found the movie "irresistibly warm and surprisingly realistic." Gene Seymour in Newsday praises it as "a romantic comedy with a lot on its mind. Indeed, it's one of the few romantic comedies to come out of Hollywood in recent years that actually has a mind and isn't ashamed to use it - especially on such challenging matters as race and class."
