We stayed at the Residence Inn for one night on Jan. 1, 2007. We are a family of five and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Each bedroom has 1 queen bed and there is a sofa sleeper in living area. TV in each bedroom and living area. Full bath connected to each bedroom. Small kitchen fully equipped. Hotel is not new but was very clean. Our room was very quiet. Breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, waffles and cereals. Bartender was given day off for holiday so there was no free happy hour on that day but usually they serve free drinks and snacks on weekdays. Small pool and hot tub outside. Pool was closed for winter but hot tub was available. You do have to walk outside to get to hotel lobby and breakfast area. Staff was very pleasant. Free parking and free high speed internet access. (not wireless) Ate a nice dinner at the Atlantis Casino buffet and won a few dollars playing craps at Cal-Neva Casino downtown . ($3 min.) I first visited Toronto in the spring of 1998 as an exhibitor at the One of a Kind Show. We stayed at the Grange Hotel and I discovered the Queen St. W. area and its shops and restaurants by walking it every day. I went back to Montreal enchanted by this trendy and dynamic neighborhood and I still clearly remember the first time I stepped in Dukeās Cycle. I immediately liked the shopās vibe and its staff. Little did I know at that time the importance that Dukeās would eventually take in my life . I kept coming to Toronto a few times every year, met my wife during one of those trips in 2001, and finally moved here in the Fall of 2005. As an avid cyclist, it wasnāt too long before I needed some gear and I headed straight to Dukeās. The loss of Dukeās Cycle and all those other buildings and businesses has saddened me. Just returned from a fabulous 5 day half term break to New York this was a first time visit to America. We were recommended the Affinia Gardens hotel by a friend. What a find! Arrived at Newark airport with a one hour delay we had booked a car from Lincoln limousines, which was quoted by email and then booked over the phone from UK I was a bit apprehensive about this but the driver was waiting in the arrivals lounge for my family of five even after the delay. On arrival at the hotel the consigage took our bags and the reception were very warm and friendly. The room was on the eleventh floor with a patio at the side a large open plan lounge and dining room, separate bedroom with two queen size beds and a kitchenette and bathroom. The room was always warm and inviting just as well as during our stay New York was only 21 deg F and lower. Breakfast was available from the Tranquility lounge if required but we took advantage of the local eating houses that served great breakfasts.
