We loved our stay at the Two Mermaids Bed and Breakfast! This was our first time having our own private hot tub. That was my favorite thing about this room. Friendly hard-working staff.We tried a few of the dishes during a week stay on Kauai. Every one was very tasty and inexpensive. Try the iced drinks. The lemonade-hibiscus was good.One time we drove from Poipu to Kappa just to eat dinner at Mermaids . We stayed at the 2 mermaids for one week before changing to a condo. We should have stayed at the 2 mermaids the entire time!We were in the poolside suite. Each morning we found a fresh platter of Hawaiian fruit and a couple days fresh sweet bread. The room was equipped with everything you can think of. We appreciated using their beach chairs, beach towels, and other odds and ends. The mermaids have thought of many little extras to make your stay there comfortable. Two Mermaids hostesses are willing to accomodate to almost every need. The poolside room of our choice had a queen murphy bed with frige, coffeemaker, hairdryer, couch, Hawaiian music playing, fluffy towels and beach items (coolers etc.) for guests' use. judee (one of the mermaids ) said that they included everything that they would like in a B B. Breakfast is left on ice (to eat at one's leisure and included a large fruit platter daiuly with several kinds of fruit and homemade fruit bread. We stayed at the Two Mermaids just last week, and didn't want to leave. The location in Kiehi was great. It's close to every place on the island you'd want to visit, yet away from the tourist crowd so you really feel like you are living in Hawaii . Every morning started with the best breakfast basket of fresh fruits and breads and upon arrival the kitchen was already stocked with essentials like Maui coffee, additional breakfast items, and snacks. Beach chairs, coolers and other beach items were ready for our use, there were even ice packs in the freezer. For anyone looking for a clean, convenient, cost-friendly place to stay, this is it.
