Galaxina

Gnibo created an article from about 63 text blocks

It begins with a rip-off of the Star Wars crawl, which they obviouslythought needed to be three long paragraphs in order to be a trueparody, because it goes on forever without having much to say. What itdoes is tell you that this ship is traveling along with Galaxina , whois this robot shaped like a Playboy Playmate who manages this ship. Then there is a LONG shot of the expanse of the ship, also like StarWars, and the credits go on. The credits go on forever, in fact, pausing every now and then to show Galaxina in her glowly chair (agreat image, but one we end up seeing a lot of) and the ship flyingthrough space (us.imdb.com/title/tt0080771/)

Now, Galaxina , who wears a white outfit that can accurately bedescribed as form-fitting, cannot speak, and touching her (say whenyou&re reaching round to goose her) delivers an electric shock. ThenCaptain Butt eats a disgusting space egg and burps up an Alien-typecreature which escapes into the ship. Then Sarge declares his love forGalaxina, and endures a painful shock just to embrace her for a momen (us.imdb.com/title/tt0080771/)

While the guys are in cryosleep Galaxina , who has fallen in love withSarge, teaches herself to speak and makes her body warm and soft. Uponthawing him out she offers herself to him, saying that she&ll make hisevery wish her command. Then she is kidnapped by space bikers who aregoing to sacrifice her to the god Har Lee David Son, when she isrescued, they get the blue star, the end (us.imdb.com/title/tt0080771/)

Galaxina (1980) was one of those movies that got breathlessly described on the playground by the kids whose parents had cable. For years, I had conflated this movie with ALIEN , probably because there's a sequence that parodies the dinner table scene. Yes, this is supposed to be a sci-fi spoof, but it's really just a bunch of z-grade actors creepily leering at the star (seventyseveneightytwo.blogspot.com....chive.html)

Hollywood has always had a fascination with its own horror stories and tragedies. This film is based on the short and tragic life of Playmate Dorothy Stratten , who was shot by her husband/manager Paul Snider in 1980 aged only 20. (The title incidentally refers to the personalized number-plate Snider had made for his Mercedes). There is a certain irony to Stratten s notoriety that had she not been shot, she would probably never have even been noticed, never have been anything more than another centerfold turned B movie actress like Monique Gabrielle or Brinke Stevens. Certainly her total of four film appearances and even there her only real starring role was in the sf film Galaxina (1980) betray little in the way of acting talent. But since her death there have been two filmic biographies based on her life this and the tv movie Death of a Centerfold: The Dorothy Stratten Story (1981), as well as a documentary Dorothy Stratten : The Untold Story (1985) (www.moria.co.nz....star80.htm)
