One-hundred-thousand years ago, the Volcano Alcedo on the Galapagos island of Isabela erupted, leaving a lasting mark on the genetic make-up of the local tortoise population. The Alcedo tortoise population is thought to have been severely reduced after the eruption and consequently exhibits far less genetic variation than neighboring tortoise populations. Jeffrey Meldrum, an Idaho State University associate professor of anatomy and primatology who moonlights as a Bigfoot researcher, believes that the eruption of Mount St. Helens could result in some excellent Sasquatch footprint findings. From NCBuy Weird News: He says most of the ground in the area isn't soft enough to take a footprint, but a blanket of ash could provide a good medium. Meldrum owns more than 150 casts of mysterious ground tracks that fall somewhere between human feet and primate feet and says his study of them has convinced him that Sasquatch are real. Wow! That was totally worth the view ā nice find. Standing close to natural geysers is scary even when they57;re small, this eruption is like some of the largest geysers in Iceland ā so I can57;t imagine how scary it is to be driving at 90kmph almost directly into one. Amazing that it appear to have only resulted in one car crash. (onemansblog.com....of-street/)
