Now for a little more detail about the Easter Parade itself and the categories. The 1st Annual Softie Easter Parade to be held on my q.D.paToOtieS Blog, qdpatooties.blogspot.com , during Easter week which is March 16 March 23rd. The Parade itself will take place with each category getting their own special day from March 16 March 20th with voting taking place on March 21st and 22nd with the winners in each category being announced on March 23rd which is Easter Sunday. And yes, I will have prizes for the winners just as a did for the Thanksgiving Day Parade! We'll have a little bit of Blarney thrown in here as well with St. Patrick's Day sneaking in to give us a little Irish luck. With that in mind, I included a category especially for St. Paddy's Day for those of you who will be wearin' the green (qdpatooties.blogspot.com....arade.html)

I decided to put together an Easter Parade since everyone enjoyed the 1st Annual Softie Thanksgiving Day Parade so much! I know it seems like a long time until Easter but it's actually pretty early this year as it falls on March 23rd which is only a little over two months away. Plus, most of you that I know who regularly send in your photos to magazines are currently working on items for Spring already (qdpatooties.blogspot.com....arade.html)

All photos are to be placed in the 1st Annual Softie Easter Parade Flickr file or can be E-mailed to me through my Blog E-mail address by March 9, 2008 so I can size them, write the descriptions, add the links, etc. When you upload your photos to the Flickr group, please read the main description of the group which has labels for your photos to make it easier for me to categorize them and so I know what category to place your entry in for voting. Also, please write your name, Blog name, and a little bit about your entry in the description of the photo so I have a little bit to go on when I'm writing about your creation in my Blog (qdpatooties.blogspot.com....arade.html)

She is very disappointed when her mother buys her a plain hat. When Ann Estelle leaves her new hat on the porch, a robin buids a nest in it and lays eggs. What's Ann Estelle to do? There's lots of fun in this picture book written and illustrated by Mary Engelbreit. Her colorful borders and crisp illustrations are a joy. Like new clothing, songs are part of this holiday 's traditions. Easter's most famous popular song is the work of Israel Baline, a Russian-born Jew who became famous as Irving Berlin and wrote "Easter Parade " in 1933. The song inspired the 1948 film of the same name starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland . (www.usaweekend.com....aster.html)

Are there special things on over Easter that will not involve huge crowds? I read somewhere there is some sort of parade. Do these musicals actually play better as excerpts? Youāve got to wonder when you compare the best of Easter Parade as seen in Thatās Entertainment 1,2,3 ā¦infinity with Easter Parade the stand -alone feature. The songs are still there, but so are the contrivances, the misunderstandings (and always over things that could be cleared up with a single line of dialogue if only someone would speak up!), and the tedium of musical comedy convention. Were the outcomes such a foregone conclusion when these pictures were new? Iām sure they were, but the folks undoubtedly had a little more patience then, though thatās hardly an adequate excuse for your own guests twitching in their seats as they watch this movie. Judging by the sockeroo business it did, Easter Parade pleased all generations of moviegoers, with youngsters buying tickets alongside their grandparents who remembered the Irving Berlin standards revived for this occasion. When would any movie re-unite such a disparate audience under one umbrella again? Within less than a decade, rock nā roll would splinter us into warring niche groups, and barring one or two exceptions The Sound Of Music being the most notable), thatās the way it would sta (greenbriarpictureshows.blogspot.com....chive.html)
