OK, I have stayed here 6 nights during the past year. The hotel is a little dated and maybe needs to be modernized, but you simply cannot beat the location if you have business downtown or are taking a cruise. If you are buying liquor, then you should take the St. Charles streetcar from downtown out to a Rite Aid were you can buy it for 1/2 the price they sell it in Downtown liquor stores and even more cheaper than the price in bars (www.tripadvisor.com....siana.html)
I stayed at the Philadelphia Marriott (downtown ) for 4 days to attend a conference. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of this Marriott compared to others. My boyfriend and I decided at the last minute to get away for Veteran's Day weekend and the Marriott was one of the few hotels in Philly which still had vacancies.- The hotel is conveniently located to most attractions in downtown Philadelphia , is about a 5 minute drive from I-76 and about 15-20 minutes away from the Philadelphia Zoo. more (www.tripadvisor.com....vania.html)
I stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions for a total of six days in May and had a decent stay. Check in was very easy and the desk staff was pleasant. My husband and I stayed at La Quinta hotel in downtown New Orleans while he was in the city for a conference. We chose the hotel because of other reviews we had seen on TripAdvisor, and were not disappointed. The location was perfect , the hotel was very nice, and the rooms were spacious. I recently spent 5 nights at the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown while attending a conference in Philadelphia . The location, only a block or so from the Convention Center was terrific, especially at a colder time of year.
