Monsters HDās world premiere broadcast of FROM BEYOND coincides with a renewed interest in the renowned author H.P. Lovecraft, who died in 1937. In the last few years there have been over a dozen films based on Lovecraftās writings which include Gordon ās recent episode of MASTERS OF HORROR, DREAMS IN THE WITCH-HOUSE, the best-selling videogame Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth from Bethesda Softworks, as well as Guillermo Del Toro ās upcoming adaptation of AT THE MOUNTIANS OF MADNESS . Monsters HD will also be celebrating the authorās legacy by airing such Lovecraft-related films as THE UNNAMABLE , DIE MONSTER DIE and Dan Oā Bannonās THE RESURRECTED. But Lovecraft has had no better champion than Stuart Gordon , who has adapted the authorās works in five films: RE-ANIMATOR, FROM BEYOND, CASTLE FREAK (loosely based on Lovecraftās āThe Outsiderā), DAGON, and DREAMS IN THE WITCH-HOUSE (videowatchdog.blogspot.com....chive.html)

Gary has worked as a teamster, worked in a laundry, and used to drive an ice cream truck (until a freak ice-cream-truck accident ended that career). But when Louis Castle offered him a job at Westwood, he decided to give games a try - and the rest is history. (www.gamasutra.com....lery_id=20)

Every city will have a few special guests and as they as they are confirmed they will be announced both here and in local press. Obviously the earliest cities will be known first but rest assured that many wonderful actors and directors whove been part of my films have already committed and will be joining me on the horror road show along the way! I just had lunch today with Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, From Beyond, RobotJox, Castle Freak , etc) and he is going to be with us in Chicago ! Thanks Stuart (www.charlesband.com..../?m=200509)

This film was very well acted, and pretty much stayed true to the book.Ofcourse the book was better, as is usually the case. They did a good jobmaking Susan Sarandon look (almost) unattractive. In the book Nora has asomewhat disproportionate body and her facial features are described aslooking like 'one parent was a Native American and the other a Swede.' Thefilm was shot on location in the St. Louis area. In the book Nora workedthecounter at White Castle, at the infamous Grand Gravois location in southSt. Louis. That place draws an assortment of colorful characters; it's areal freak show in the wee hours on summer weekends. White Castle burgersare affectionately known as belly bombers to St. Louisans. Anyway, JamesSpader is very good as Max Baron, a somewhat stuffy, uptight yuppiewidower. One evening, while buying a sack of whiteys for the bachelor party of hisbest friend, he has an angry confrontation with the woman at the counter(Sarandon). Later he encounters her in a bar and she convinces him he istooinebriated to drive so he goes home with her (www.imdb.com/title/tt0103251/)

60;It57;s crack for my brain,61; says former MTV VJ Adam Curry , on a recent podcast . Curry 52; who has bought a castle in SL and wants to retire there 52; seems to have gotten the place immediately, describing at as 60;a platform.61; Microsoft 57;s Robert Scoble, who57;s also been poking around SL lately, goes further, describing the place as an operating system . Leo Laporte of This Week in Tech , the most popular podcast on the Web, has also been avatarized lately (under the great name Pruneface Spatula ), and is equally excited. What57;s important here is that these guys, for the most part, see the world not as a fantasy realm that57;s just good for getting your freak on (despite Laporte57;s fascination with nude skins), but as a place where powerful development is possible. His DVD collection includes plenty of foreign films. He does not drink, smoke or use any kind of drugs. He goes to bed early. He watches what he eats. He changes his baby's diapers. He is not tattooed. He loves to get involved in the small details of his life: where the bay window should be installed in his new house, what species of grass the landscapers should install. Most importantly, he is neither from the ghetto nor the inner city. Instead, he is from just about every city, town and Air Force Base in America . His father, Walter, worked on airplanes for the military, so Ray, his mom Flora and his four siblings followed him to various jobs across the country. He was born at Castle Air Force Base in California, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in South Carolina with a few stops including visits to Germany and Englandļ¾in between. College was at the University of Connecticut.Ray Allen was still a junior at UConn when he confessed to writer Alexander Wolff that he is something of a control frea (myespn.go.com....?tag=teams)

Nothing as to the manners of the times can beinferred from this freak of an individual. There were no daily andcontinual opportunities of being merry; but sometimes the peoplerejoiced, in their own peculiar fashion, oftener with a calm, religioussmile than with a broad laugh, as when they feasted, like one greatfamily, at Thanksgiving time, or indulged a livelier mirth throughoutthe pleasant days of Election -week. This latter was the true holidayseason of New England. Military musters were too seriously important inthat warlike time to be classed among amusements; but they stirred upand enlivened the public mind, and were occasions of solemn festival tothe governor and great men of the province, at the expense of the field -offices. The Revolution blotted a feast-day out of our calendar; forthe anniversary of the king's birth appears to have been celebrated withmost imposing pomp, by salutes from Castle William, a military parade, agrand dinner at the town-house, and a brilliant illumination in theeveni (www.gutenberg.org....aw6610.txt)

I remember when I take my best friend on a run to New York City. He picks up a total lunatic, one of his New York friends who happens to be a speed freak Shakespearean actor. We bring the guy home (our homes - you don't wanna know about his pad). He always walks with a cane, he takes over the local peace movement, waving that crazy cane in the air, crying out "I am the King and this is my castle! (www.mydd.com....154720/553)

I WAS SITTING IN A CASTLE, IN A PLACE NOT FAR FROM HERE. AND I CAME HERE FOR ONE REASON: TO ATTACK AND KEEP COMING. NOT TO ASK, BUT JUST TO GIVE. NOT TO WANT, BUT JUST TO SEND. SEEN THE POWER OF THE WARRIOR DOWN THE THROAT OF EVERYONE IN THE WWF UNTIL THEY BECOME SICK OF IT. WELL YOUāRE GONNA GET SICK OF IT, BECAUSE THIS FREAK OF NATURE IS JUST BEGINNING TO SWELL. AND WHEN I GET BIG ENOUGH BROTHER , THERE AINāT GONNA BE ROOM FOR ANYONE ELSE BUT ME AND ALL THE WARRIORS FLOATINā THROUGH THE VEINS OF ALL THE WARRIORS (www.yourmomsbasement.com....s/2005/11/)

About: This community was started for everyone out there who loves horror movies, or just movies in general for that fact. But it's a place where everyone can come and express thoughts and feelings about movies, actors, scenes, anything that has to do with horror movies at all. If you don't want to talk about movies and just want to find people to talk to online with similar interests as yours, then this is for you. Hell, you don't even have to talk about horror movies if you don't want to. You would talk about Tomb Raider or something lame like that. You might get made fun of, but who cares. I created this so everyone could have fun with people with similiar interests.
