That's right. Hillary is Camille Claudel to Bill's Auguste Rodin. She's an OK sculptor but not and never will be the great artist her husband is. That has got to be working her last nerve. Not only that, but nobody likes her! Man, I can understand how she's one pissed off lady (www.huffingtonpost.com....ile/JUSTME)
BY GAVIN McNETT S ometimes I find myself getting all emotional over small things. I wason a drunken swing through the Rodin museum in Philadelphia once, and Istumbled across a small nude of Camille Claudel . It choked me right up.You know the story - she died in an asylum, he got all the glory. She wasreally the better artist, but Rodin got his own museum. The terriblepiquancy of it, you know (www.salon.com....omedy.html)
During this period she also continued to appear in critically acclaimed dark and disturbing historical dramas such as James Ivory57;s Quartet (1981) and Bruno Nuytten57;s remarkable Camille Claudel (1988). She should have easily walked away with the Oscar in 1990 for Best Actress for her role in Camille Claudel which she was nominated, but she lost to Jessica Tandy in the rather dull, dreadful and terribly overrated Driving Miss Daisy (1989 (cinebeats.blogs....m/2007/06/)
A hulking, charismatic leading man , he has become an enormously popular and prolific international star. He is perhaps best known to American audiences for his starring roles in The Return of Martin Guerre (1982), Jean de Florette (1986), Camille Claudel (1988), and Peter Weir 's Green Card (1990). He won César awards, the French equivalent of the Oscar, for his performances in The Last Metro (1980) and Cyrano de Bergerac (1990). He also appeared in Les Miserables (2000) and 102 Dalmatians (2000) (www.infoplease.com....62490.html)

Eder's next album, It's No Secret Anymore, was released in 1999, and again concentrated mostly on Wildhorn material, with selections from the musical work-in-progress Havana (another Eder vehicle) and a lullaby for the couple's newborn child. Eder's first holiday album, Christmas Stays the Same, appeared in 2000. She returned in 2002 with Gold, a less traditional, more guitar-based set of contemporary pop that featured covers of songs by the Beatles , Dusty Springfield , Boz Scaggs, and Dobie Gray. Still, Wildhorn material dominated the record, including the well-received title track, which was to be a cornerstone of the new, unfinished musical Camille Claudel . "Gold" also appeared on Eder's follow-up album, 2003's Broadway My Way, an album of show tune standards that backed away from the more contemporary touches of its predecessor. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guid (www.ticketmaster.com....brand=none)
The Rodin museum is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite museum in the world! (Granted I am a huge fan of Rodin and, more particularly, Camille Claudel .) I block out a day to spend there every time I'm in Paris. (This would probably be too much for most people. I'm a little obsessive.) The location is convenient to other things to see , while the gardens are beautiful and serene. You will never know you're in the city once inside the walls. The collection of Rodin's work is amazing and it also houses the majority of the remaining works of Camille Claudel , who was Rodin's apprentice and lover. If you are a fan of sculpture, this is a MUST SEE (www.tripadvisor.com....rance.html)

The Rodin Museum is situated near the Musée d57;Orsay and is housed in what was once the Hôtel Biron, the beautiful hotel where Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) once lived and worked. Inside are many of Rodin57;s great marble sculptures including The Kiss and The Hand of God while outside, in the garden, are famous bronzes including The Thinker. The museum also includes many works by Camille Claudel , Rodin57;s pupil and mistress , and paintings by Van Gogh, Renoir, Manet and Rodin himself (www.cheapflights.co.uk....ide/Paris/)
The views from the quays are fabulous, and, if you get hungry, go to Berthillon's at 31 rue St.-Louis en I'Île to sample some of their marvelous ice creams and sorbets. Other landmarks to look for include the Hôtel de Jassaud (6) at 19 Quai de Bourbon, where French sculptor Camille Claudel lived in a ground-floor studio at the rear of the courtyard ; and the Hôtel de Lauzun (7) at 17 Quai d'Anjou, with its gilded dolphin water spouts. It was here that poet Charles Baudelaire wrote much of Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of Evil), published in 1857. Baudelaire also first spotted his lover Jeanne Duval—his "Black Venus"—from the window. The Hôtel Lambert (8) at 2 rue St.-Louis en l'Île is now a private residence (www.nationalgeographic.com....paris.html)
The only other il faut (must do) activity for newly-weds and freshly-minted lovers is a tour of the Musée Rodin in the 7e Arronsidement, next to the Hôtel des Invalides. It's only two floors high but contains Rodin's most famous sculptures as well as pieces by his equally-talented lover and mistress , Camille Claudel . For a towering epic of tortured love, obsession , betrayal and a bit of love-induced madness you can't go past Rodin and Claudel. And if the earthy sensuality of Rodin's 'The Kiss' doesn't give you some good ideas, then the chances are the honeymoon's over and it's time to join the real world again (www.lonelyplanet.com...._paris.htm)
Attention from innovative artists to women's dress was obfuscated by the powerful allure of the French fashion industry whose creations, while not one of a kind; were "adapted" for each individual and made of the finest fabrics, trimmings, and laces. The desire to wear the latest Paris couturier creations was strong, supported by the cultural elite and artists such as Charles Baudelaire, who defended the artificial over the natural in his discussion of "maquillage" in The Painter of Modern Life. Bohemian women, such artists as Camille Claudel , such actresses as Sarah Bernhardt, and such divas as La Duse favored the Paris couturiers. For women there was tremendous pressure from the advertising world to submit to the dictates of high style. In the 1880s and 1890s this meant being in bondage to the corset, weighted down by the bustle with its meters of fabric, and impeded by the long, cumbersome skirt. It is hardly surprising then that the real inroads to a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing attire for women evolved first in England, then in Germany , Belgium , and Hollan (www.encyclopedia.com....12100.html)
