We have just returned from a week at the Super 8 Back Gate Myrtle Beach. The hotel is magnificent for a Super 8and we have never experienced such incredible service before for a no frills budget hotel. I recently stayed at Turtle Cay with my husband and my 2 children (a teen a pre-teen). We had a nice time and if I were to go back to Virginia Beach I would stay there again. I just got back from Acapulco yesterday and Disco Beach is by far the best part place ever. It is roomy and you barely ever have to wait for drinks. I never stopped dancing all night and the FOAM party was absolutely incredible! mor (www.tripadvisor.com....Coast.html)

It was the first time for my partner and I to go to a nude beach. We were reluctant at first, but the atmosphere was very nice and we found ourselves totally naked by the end of the day. My husband, my brother in law and I just returned from the LTI Beach resort and we all had a great time, we travelled to a 5 star resort for a wedding and was overwhelmed by the size and amount of people. Since back in 1997 or 98, we have been visiting Myrtle Beach! Our first visit was awful.we chose a hotel online that was nothing what it said it was! After fighting with the mgt. and sleeping with our eyes open all night, we forfeighted our week's rent went looking for a new place to stay. (side note, that hotel was actually torn down the next year we were there!) Hotel after hotel was booked.then we got to the Martinique (former name of the Ocean Reef). They were awesome! We explained our situation and although they were full, they informed us that someone was checking out shortly we could have that room for the night. We had to move the next night; however, they accomodated us. We had a standard room it was fine. The beach and the pool area were wonderful. We have been back 5-6 times since then and it continues to get better each time! They continue to build on improve the property. Spring and fall offer affordable family vacation rates we have had some great vacations there! This past October I had extended family join us and they couldn't believe their room they got for the rate they paid! I am telling you October is awesome! Fantastic discounts for the same rooms you may pay quite a bit more for in the summer ! Thanks for being so good to us, Ocean Reef! I hope we will visit again soon! We just got back from 5 days in the Bahamas. We loved this resort. There were so many activities and lessons you can take (for free) and the staff were all polite and friendly. They had trapeze lessons that we wanted to try but ran out of time and good weather. Even though it stormed while we were there we always found things to do. We learned everything from salsa dance to archery and windsailing all included. The beach was very clean and we were able to snorkel right there in front of the resort (Very cool) and there were plenty of lounge chairs for those who just want to kick back otherwise there was a volleyball game going on most of the day for the more energeti (www.tripadvisor.com....hamas.html)

Some owners bought a membership that gives them access to the Grand Wailea pools- very beneficial if you have kids. They loved being able to go over there for all of the water park stuff, then come back to the WBV for more quiet time (www.tripadvisor.com....awaii.html)

There's not much else to say, really. Culebra and Flamenco are gorgeous. I spent a full day on Flamenco back in October of 2004. I must have spent 4 or more hours in the water that day. Its a popular spot for the citys serious swimmers, many of whom show up at the crack of dawn, but the cafe also attracts foodies who wouldnt dream of getting their hair wet. Set on a deck overlooking the pool, the cafe offers great views of the Sydney skyline, as well as a simple, but satisfying menu.
