Frederick William ClulowFinney, born 22 October 1887, eldest son of John Frederick and Susanah Finney(nee Clulow) at 40 Paradise Street, Macclesfield and Martha Harper , born 17March 1887 to John and Mary Ann Harper (nee Thompson) at 104 Black Road,Macclesfield, they married 7 June 1908 at St. Johns Church, Macclesfield. Theyhad four children, John Fred (my father), 25 July 1909, Beatrice, 1 December1910, William, 3rd Qtr 1913 and Joshua Albert Victor, 27 January 1924, Marthadied in childbirth on the 29 October 1931 aged 44, she is buried with child andhusband in Stretford Cemetery, Manchester , plot B1.131 . They lived at 423 Fourth Street, Trafford Park, Manchester where he worked atthe Hovis FlourMill as a miller before enlisting in the army in December 1915, Private 44987,and served with 4th Batt. He married ANNA LILLY SIMS on 4 Oct 1852 at Clinton, Mississippi. She was born 26 Mar 1834 near Clinton, a daughter of Benjamin and Winnie (Moffat) Sims and a niece of Gen. Cowles Meade. George William Harper served in the Confederate service throughout the Civil War in the commissary department. During the war , his printing office was destroyed and his cherished library burned. He resumed running the Gazette after the war and was elected to the legislature in 1875. He retired from the Gazette in 1882 and died at Raymond on 16 Nov 1894. His widow lived in Raymond until 1909 when she moved to Jackson, Mississippi to live with her daughters until her death on 12 Feb 1912 of heart failure.
