You'd be right to think that Tel Aviv is a good destination for a group of hard-partying guys. There is a bar or club for every possible taste. Some of the web sites that have been suggested will give you some good ideas. Other places, you will just find along the way (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
Tel-Aviv was on a Rough Guide programme here in the UK a few weeks a go and that gave me the idea as a good destination. The nightlife, food etc looked excellent (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
We have just came back from a tour in Israel .Before we went back we have stayed at the Carlton Tel Aviv in the last 3 days of our tour. The Carlton made a very good impression on us that got us to want to go back there next time we visit Israel .All of our expectations were fullfilled more. more (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
Spence3787, I will beg to differ with you. My heart never fails to leap when I spot the coastline of Israel the first time on any trip, and I love seeing the buildings of Tel Aviv from the air. It is the only flight I take where I am happy to have a window seat (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I stayed at the Dan Tel Aviv over the years, when it was a small hotel. I was always satisfied. This time was different. The service was terrible. The front desk Clark promised to call back with info but never did. At the restaurant , I had to protect my plate from the waiter that try to take it without asking. more (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
We stayed at the Hilton Tel Aviv during the Xmas period and we found the place OK. The service was somewhat unsatifying and mediocre. Dining in menu was very limited. The only nice thing we had was a stunning view to the beach and ocean. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
My wife and I, together with our two sons (12 and 14) are going to Tel Aviv for two weeks this summer . We would like to know if the Grand Beach hotel is any good? We have read mixed reviews about the Hotel. Please be so kind to inform us if you know something (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
If and when you have more time on your hands, or tasked to organize a business meeting in the city, there are a number of high-profile activities that you can do in Tel Aviv . Tel Aviv 's performing arts is the best in the country. The Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and the New Israeli Opera play classical music. You can also find dance performances in Suzanna Dellal Center. Your local hotel will have full information on the play dates of these performances (articles.directorym.com....54222.html)
We've just returned from a week at the Yamit Park Plaza hotel in Tel Aviv , Israel . It was the week that the schools went back in the UK and Israel , so it was off-peak, still very hot and sunny, but nothing was crowded. We had a two-bedroom apartment on the corner of the 14th floor, which was just right for. more (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
The rooms in this hotel are really very old. The TV appeared to have been in the hotel since 1980. They claimed that all rooms have a beach view, but it is really not quite so. The staff was not the friendliest. However that said, it has a great location, just about 2 blocks from the main shopping and hangout street. The breakfast was really good. The bathroom and the room being rather old and outdated, not quite clean the bath amenities were good. I was rather disappointed with the hotel so I decided to check out of the hotel, and check into another one 2 buildings across. This hotel is not like a real Sheraton. There are certainly better hotels available in Tel Aviv for less money with comparable location (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I thought that Tel-Aviv might be a perfect weekend getaway for a group of guys. Some are travelling from Europe some from Dubai. Just wondered is it a very good nightlife and what are the decent hotels to stay in. Also what things are there to see during the day, sights etc. If you need me to post in more detail just reply and I will see what I can come up wit (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
On Allenby Street in Tel Aviv , there are about a dozen bars/clubs practically next door to one another and great for bar-hopping. Most are lively with loud music and dancing. There are no cover charges/entrance fees, but you must purchase a drink and the bartenders welcome you when you enter (that is, after you make it through the big bouncers standing guard outside!). The action doesn't get going until late, though, so don't even plan to go there until around midnight. There are, ahem, a few "professionals" who hang out in these places, but they're pretty obvious. Also, even though some, like "Club Barracuda," have "mud-flap"-style silhouettes of busty women on the outside, don't be misled: these are not strip joint (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I stayed here 6 weeks on business and it is one of the better hotels in Tel Aviv , which is what I heard from all the locals, but it only rates OK on my scale. It was safe, clean, but mostly aged in need of a serious remodel. The rooms had comfortable beds but I have stayed at much better. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
Let's face it- Tel Aviv is short on decent hotels. I have a colleague who stayed at the Sheraton, and the sink in his bathroom literally fell off the wall- at least he missed the balcony that collapsed the folowing week. Given these options, the Renaissance is perfectly fine. The lobby and overall decor are a bit dated, but not. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
Booked the Carlton through a tour that started in Tel Aviv . The staff was attentive and we were greeted with fresh lemonade upon arrival. The rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds. The lobby/lounge had plenty of seating and the breakfasts were delicious. The pool area is small which was not a problem in November but might be in the. more (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I never flew that route, but logic would tell me that the left side of the plane facing front) is the side that sees land and sea since you are flying South)-but remember, this is all conjecture. (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I've actually taken this route a number of times, but not really noticed whether one side had a better view or the other. The one thing I THINK I remember (!) is that flights into Tel Aviv come in from the sea (sometimes that means they kinda make a u-turn over the Med), so that actually you get to see the sea and the buildings of Tel Aviv from both side (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
The Dan Tel Aviv should be ashamed. Here's how they ruined our honeymoon"1. Upon check in to our first room, we were shown a room that wascompletely neglected. First, what they described as a non-smokingroom, clearly was heavily smoked in, we could not breath. Additionally, the room was absolutely disgusting (stained carpets, walls, broken electrical sockets, dangerously. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
We stayed at the Dan Tel Aviv for 3 night in October. Great locaton across from the beach and near many excellent restaurants. The first room we were given had a defective bathroom door; we were then upgraded to a "club suite" in the old building. While not updated, it was still very nice. The breakfast was great. We would. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
The Crowne Plaza, like most hotels in Tel Aviv , needs some infrastructure investment. However, it's not a bad place to stay for business travelers. I stayed for a week during the 2006 Christmas period and the place was packed, but the service was good. The location is right on the beach and there's good access to the major highway. The. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
This hotel has a beautiful lobby, a recently-renovated space that incorporates some of the older, mid-century architectural details in a modern overhaul. Also, nice views out into the Med.The problem, as others have noted, is the rooms have not been similarly updated. They are decent sized, but for a Hilton in a major city like Tel Aviv , I expected. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
Staying at the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv was like being in a time warp. Everything looked it had not been renovated since the 1970s. Our room, which was spacious enough and had a great view of the ocean and pool, was so outdated we felt like we were in the Brady Bunch house. To me at least the entire hotel. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
As part of my 2 week trip in Israel we spent Shabbat (weekend) at the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv . For the price it was fine.Everything worked in the hotel room. It was clean and the views of the Mediterranean were excellent. We were there in the winter so being directly on the beach was less important to us. Local restaurants are abundant in Tel Aviv . If you find tourist food to expensive and out of your taste, you can ask your hotel staff to find you the best local restaurants in the city. For quick meals, cafes are not out of the question. In fact, the coffee in Tel Aviv is excellent. You can grab your bite sandwiches, toast, or snack and be on the go for your next meeting without much pause. (articles.directorym.com....54222.html)
If you have some time to spare between meetings or before leaving town, Tel Aviv has a lot of history and culture to offer. Tel Aviv has the hint of the European classical tradition and the west Asian traditions that charms business travelers into going back (articles.directorym.com....54222.html)

I was on my way back from Haifa and needed to stay overnight in Tel Aviv before catching my flight home the next afternoon. It seems that, whatever the reasons the staff have for turning up for work, customer service, comfort and enjoyment are nowhere on the list . As a frequent visitor to Tel-Aviv (3-4 times a year) I can honestly say that this is the worst week in a hotel that I have ever experience (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
The Deborah hotel had a broken elevator when we stayed in Tel Aviv .making the climb to the tenth floor a chore. The Sabbath Elevator was working, but was constantly filled, making a trip up & down to the room a 30 minute ordeal. The breakfast was decent, but the end time was enforced to a point where they lost sight. mor (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)

We stayed for 10 nights as we were spending extra time in Tel Aviv and used the hotel as our base. We also stayed here in 2006. We were flying in and out of Israel through Tel Aviv and wouldn't have considered staying anywhere else. The hotel was close to the beach which was great for the kids. The Mercure Marina Tel Aviv has gotten very bad reviews. Is it really that bad? Staying there makes it easier lodging elsewhere that we'd like. I'm especially concerned about issues of cleanliness, dankness, etc. (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)

Personally, I would stay in Tel Aviv . You only have 3 matches over a whole week, and unless you only want sun, sea and sand, you'll too much time commuting from Herzliya to Tel Aviv . In TA itself, you can also walk to many places. (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I would suggest that you also take some day-trips from Tel Aviv , on the days that there are no matches. 1. Jerusalem, 2. Masada and the Dead Sea, 3. up the coast to Ceasarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
I think that (unfortunately) you don't have time for the North (Galilee and Golan), although there are 1-day organized bus trips from Tel Aviv (in my mind that's just too much time on a bus, for too little time to see the area) but you'll love being here, and want to come back for that :-) (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
There are piles of things to do with the kids in Tel Aviv and the environs, so even on days where there are matches, you should be able to sightsee quite a bit. (www.tripadvisor.com...._Aviv.html)
