This hotel was well located to the shopping areas of Leiden and easy to find. I found the check-in staff to be quite pleasant. Breakfast was also good and quite extensive. Have stayed here on business on several occasions. Nice hotel outside of Leiden town centre. There is a complimentary bus that takes you into town or taxis are readily available. Bikes available for hire aswell.The rooms were very strange. Opposite the Restaurant area (ground, 1st and 2nd levels) so got very noisy in the evenings. Stayed at the Golden Tulip, Leiden on business for one night. It was brief but was a very nice stay. The hotel is well located 5 mins from the centre of Leiden town.Amenities in the room were what you would expect from this type of hotel. In the second half of the nineteenth century, new text-critical editions of important Hebrew works were published, in particular in Great Britain and Germany . Although most of these texts had already been printed in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, new scholarly insights demanded better text editions. Practically all these books were acquired by the Leiden library. At approximately the same time, the Hebrew language went through a process of revival and books in modern Hebrew were published on a large scale. Such books found their way to the Library only at random.
