The pope's interminable interment was the magenta-colored cherry on the death sundae. The TV coverage was so over-the-top and utterly uncritical, it was as if John Paul had been, well, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Or, at least, Jim Caviezel (dir.salon.com....4/14/pope/)

The Passion Of The Christ star Jim Caviezel may be ready to sign a deal to star as Superman in the long-awaited new film Superman Returns . The hunky actor who movingly portrayed Jesus in Mel Gibson 's controversial epic is said to be very close to an agreement with studio Warner Bros. despite his agent's recent insistence the part had not yet been offered to him. Big name stars such as Jude Law , Josh Hartnett and Brendan Fraser have already been offered, and turned down, the role. However, according to respected comic book author Mark Miller, Caviezel's participation is all but guaranteed. He writes, "You remember I told you to relax about Superman ? In the beginning, washingtonpost.com had a great idea. It would be a blog about culture and simultaneously feed and examine the insatiable appetite for celebrity gossip , photos and general table scraps. It would be called "Celebritology." The Church of Celebritology marches in Telluride's 2005 Independence Day parade. (Photo courtesy Brian Werner) Brian Werner, a Telluride, Colo., technical consultant also had a great idea. It involved turning a magnifying glass on our culture's burgeoning idolization of actors, musicians, models and bold names in general. He would also call it "Celebritology" and, along with a busload of friends, march in a 2005 Independence Day parade carrying signs bearing images of the new gods - Tom, Katie, Brad, Angie, Madge, Lindsay - and messages like "What Would J.Lo Do?," "Britney's Baby Will Be Bring Balance to the Force " and (my favorite) "Jim Caviezel Died for Our Sins." It was inevitable that one day,. (blog.washingtonpost.com....p_culture/)

Frank Sullivan (Dennis Quaid ) and his little son, Johnny, affectionately named Chief (later played by Jim Caviezel ) were a great father and son team [Prov. 6:20; 23:24]. And mom, Julia (Elizabeth Mitchell ) was the staple between them [Prov. 1:8], in love with them both them as it should be. I *liked* this part of the show. And it is NOT fantasy to think a family could be this way. Good family values and a very loving relationship were displayed well. There were no children screaming obscenities at a parent [Eph. 6:1]. No parent screaming obscenities at the other [Eph 5:22-25, 28, 33]. No child abuse [Eph. 6:4]. And no cheating, no deceit, no apathy - a good family indeed - in this part of the show [See Scriptures below (www.capalert.com....quency.htm)

Johnny Depp as Tony Stark . I picked Depp because of his resemblance to the character and his acting skills. I'd believe him as both a ladies' man and heavy drinker, and I can imagine him transforming Stark from an irresponsible, wealthy young man into a more mature, heroic and selfless individual. Depp is also eccentric enough for me to buy him as a man with a dual identity . While Depp doesn't seem like a very big guy, Stark is a character who puts on a suit of armor to make himself bigger and stronger . So why must he be built like a brick house then? George Clooney , Colin Farrell , Tom Cruise , Nic Cage, Jim Caviezel and Brad Pitt are some other contenders (movies.ign.com....285p1.html)

Rhona Mitra as Madame Masque. This beauty could do for Madame Masque Obadiah Stane's lover and hired gun what Rebecca Romijn-Stamos did for X-Men 's Mystique. Modern technology could "mask" Mitra's features without obscuring either her expressions or striking countenance. Rhona Mitra has had small roles in The Life of David Gale , Sweet Home Alabama , Hollow Man and Get Carter . She next appears opposite Jim Caviezel in Highwaymen . (movies.ign.com....285p1.html)

On the Set with Jim Caviezel He s intense, he is intense. He s obviously very good and I was kind of surprised like, Whoa, okay, he s investing in the dark side . He was willing to go the whole way. He s a very spiritual man and a very intense individual, and very good. It s that same intensity that can be applied to the good side of things or to His character thinks he s right, you know, even for spiritual or religious reasons. He s a zealot; he s a nut the character, the character. (oscars.about.com....1606_2.htm)

I thought Unknown was great. I really had to keep up with the twistsand turns.it certainly forced me to pay attention (which is a goodthing!) as sometimes I start to zone out. I was impressed with the castgiven the independent nature of the movie and the fact that it isn&tplaying in many theaters. I love Jim Caviezel .he&s a babe! I also likeGreg Kinnear and was surprised to see him play a not-so-likable guy butthen again.what do you expect given the circumstances. Joe P wasfunny in his own way and Barry Pepper was an unknown to me until thismovie. One of my new favorite TV shows is Six Degrees which starsBridget M. She was great in this movie and a total surprise to me atthe end. I never predicted the end at all and that made the movie allthe better. I did not foresee a lot of what transpired in theend.don&t want to give it away though. I sure hope it gets to moretheaters but if it doesn&t, buy it through pay-per-view or rent theDVD. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it kept me on my toe (www.imdb.com/title/tt0450340/)

The Word of Promise: New Testament Audio Bible came from the mind of Carl Amari, CEO of Falcon Picture Group.  Amari, who had worked with Jim Caviezel on the 2004 film Madison , brought Jim on board to play the lead role of Jesus Christ and to co-produce the project with New York Times Best selling author and broadcast journalist, Raymond Arroyo, (as well as Amari). A mega-talented group of Hollywood actors join Caviezel on the project. The cast includes (christianmusic.about.com....mise07.htm)

We are watching 'The Sadistic Torture of the Christ' and are quite enjoying it. So there aren't any car chases or big explosions and it's delivered in Latin and Aramaic, with simple subtitles for the less able reader, but it seems fine so far. Satan is very creepy and Jim Caviezel has always been a McMuffin favourite despite his unsavoury religiosity. We have always thought of him as the actor most likely to succeed at playing Jesus (Yayshush) (www.mcmuffin.co.uk....n/2004/09/)
