While the eraser tool in most programs is pretty self-explanatory, in Flash the eraser tool comes with more advanced options that give you greater control over the way that the tool acts on your various shapes and objects. Check out this tip for an overview of how those options work (animation.about.com....r-tool.htm)
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Causes Chemical Burn Netlore Archive: Forwarded email describes 'chemical burns' sustained by a 5-year-old child when he scrubbed his own skin with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponge (urbanlegends.about.com....r-burn.htm)
For the Eraser , holding down the Ctrl key puts it into â color picker â mode, so that it selects the color of any pixel it is clicked on. Unlike other brush tools, however, the Eraser sets the background color rather than the foreground color. This is more useful, because on drawables that don't support transparency, erasing replaces the erased areas with the current background color (docs.gimp.org....raser.html)
For the Eraser , holding down the Alt key switches it into â anti-erase â mode, as described below in the Tool Options section. Note that on some systems, the Alt key is trapped by the Window Manager. If this happens to you, you may be able to use Alt + Shift instead. (docs.gimp.org....raser.html)
You can use the Eraser tool to change the shape of a floating selection. By erasing, you trim the edges of the selection. By inverting the selection before floating it, erasing will increase the size of a part of the selection (docs.gimp.org....raser.html)

The eraser s should not be too soft. The surface and the other quality of the eraser determine how good the result will be (both with carving as with printing (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
When you have used a ballpen , you can press the eraser firmly on the eraser . The ink will be transferred partly on the eraser , because ballpen-ink doesn't dry quickly. The transferred image is the mirror -image! If necessary, make the design a bit darker with your pen till it is clear enough for you (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
Another way is to use a plastic folie. Put it on the design (or photo or image) , and make with a (not-waterproof ) marker a copy. This copy you can place on the eraser and press it (see also the first method) (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
Place the eraser in front of a mirror . This is to see if the design is correct. Remember that ANYTHING YOU CUT AWAY CAN'T BE RESTORED. So that is why it is important to cheque the design before you start carvin (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
A nice example of an eraser -carved stamp you can see here. It was a work made by Litsa Spathi from Heidelberg , Germany , as a gift for the TAM Rubber Stamp Archive (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
Important with the stamping is that the eraser is clean. Use a brush (I always use an old toothbrush) and wipe the eraser clean. Don't forget to clean the stamppad also , because the dirt on this stamppad gets very easily in the holes of the eraser . (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
When you ink the eraser -stamp , press the stamp several times on the stamppad while placing it on different part of the stamppad. This insures that the structure of the textile on the stamppad isn't printed too (www.iuoma.org/eraser.html)
There are several problems in secure file removal, mostly caused by the use of write cache, construction of the hard disk and the use of data encoding. These problems have been taken into consideration when Eraser was designed, and because of this intuitive design and a simple user interface , you can safely and easily erase private data from your hard drive (www.heidi.ie....efault.php)
