Stayed at The Villa Emilia for 3 days in Jan 2008, wish it could have been longer. 3 couples all had a great stay, hotel facilities were superb, staff friendly and helpful most spoke excellent english (well, better than mine). (www.tripadvisor.com....lonia.html)
I stayed at the Villa Emilia for 4 nights in November for a girly getaway with a friend and absolutely loved it! I booked through lastminute.com managed to book 4 nights for the bargain price of £285. that worked out at only £142.50 each for my friend I so obviously we were very pleased we'd found a bargain! (www.tripadvisor.com....lonia.html)
Another thing to note is that on the thursday, friday saturday night the hotel had a piano player playing live music in the bar, which made for a very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The villa emilia definately made our stay in Barcelona wonderful! (www.tripadvisor.com....lonia.html)

Hotel Posta and Reggio Emilia are gems that have escaped discovery by the hoards of American tourists. Both the hotel and the city afforded a unique opportunity to experience a side of Italy which is missed by tourists in the larger cities. The Emillia-Romagna region provides itself on having some of Italyâs finest food. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
We would highly recommend Reggio Emilia and this region of Italy as a way to experience fine food, beautiful cities and a more relaxed atmosphere than can be found in the typical tourist areas of Rome, Florence , etc. The Hotel Posta makes a perfect base of operation for this exploration. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
My first visit to Reggio Emilia was out of curiosity. My second visit was because of the wonderful hospitality extended to me by everyone at Hotel Posta, especially the hotel owner, Umberto Sidoli. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
I agree with Carmelita that this is a beautiful part of Emilia Romagna, called "la Romagna Toscana ". I think I read somewhere that Mussolini (who was a native of Emilia Romagna) detached this area from Tuscany and gave it to his native province. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
My job means that I travel extensively and spend too many nights in hotel rooms but staying at Hotel Posta was a pleasure as it was comfortable, quiet and only a few steps from everything within central Reggio Emilia . (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
I may try to stay in a place with a little stronger character next time, but I might also end up choosing Villa Emilia again because for this good price, I don't know if you can get much better service of comfort. (www.tripadvisor.com....lonia.html)
We spent 3 days in Bologna. I was a little worried that there wouldn’t be much to do, but because we’re foodies, we found plenty of things to do (and eat). These are the top 3 things that we did in Emilia -Romagna, that I highly recommend. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
If you’re going to Emilia -Romagna, make a stop in Modena for this place. It was a fabulous experience for us. Oh – and music lovers – this was Pavarotti’s favorite place to dine. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
3 days are not so many, depend of what you would like to do. If you want to visit main towns like Bologna and Parma you should find a small town along the railway like Modena or Reggio Emilia that are amid them and you may reach Bologna and Parma by train. (www.tripadvisor.com....magna.html)
BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) Spanish qualifier Nuria Llagostera Vives won her second WTA Tour title when she defeated Argentina 's Maria Emilia Salerni 6-0, 6-4 in the Copa Colsanitas final on Sunday. (msn.foxsports.com....gota-final)
After the arrival in Lithuania of General Dezydery Chlapowski, who organized the detachments into a regular army, Emilia was named Commander of the 1st Company of the 1st Lithuanian Regiment, known later as the 25th Infantry Regiment of the Line. She distinguished herself in the battles at Kowno and Szawle and was given the rank of Captain in the field . A.E. Odyniec has written about her "Your name in Polish and Lithuanian history will sound eternally as a song amidst the battle". When Chlapowski's force was split, she refused to make her escape with the columns heading for the Prussian border and decided to make her way to Warsaw with her cousin Cezary. In the course of this journey she became ill from exhaustion and was taken to a peasants cottage and then later to the mansion house of Ignacy Ablamowicz. In two letters from the 30th September 1831 addressed to one of her aunts, Emilia wrote words of farewell to her and other close relatives. She died at Justianow on the 23rd December 1831 and was buried in an unused cemetery at Kopciowa (presently Kapciamiestis), in a tomb which is still in existence today (www.angelfire.com....later.html)
Emilia was entered into the Pantheon of permanent independent heroes. In the 20th century there was dedicated to her a painting of Wojciech Kossak "Emilia Plater in combat with the Cossacks", a novel (1908) by Waclaw Gasiorowski, and a drama in three acts with an epilogue (1931) by Tadeusz Konczynski. In the period between the (two World) wars, the 22nd Infantry Regiment adopted the name of Emilia Plater. Her facsimile appeared on the 20 zloty banknotes of the Bank of Poland as well as on the Bank Issue of the Governor General. She was chosen as the patroness of the 1st Independent Battalion of Women and in the 1st Division named Tadeusz Kosciuszko. Even today, one of the central streets of Warsaw carries her name." Even in Communist Poland , in 1959 a ship of 10,000 tons was built in the Gdansk shipyards for the Polish Oceanic Line and named the "M.S. Emilia Plater". (www.angelfire.com....later.html)
