Yahoo! opened up the beta of Live, its new personal broadcast video service, on Thursday night. I haven't yet run a live test of the Christine channel, but I'm looking forward to trying it out after a day on the Tahoe slopes today. I'm a huge fan of Seesmic's conversational video community, so I'm happy to see that Yahoo! appears to be going for a broadcast approach rather than competing directly. (Essentially, Yahoo! is providing Justin.tv in a box.) Go ahead and get your own name before someone else nabs it (www.christine.net/)
Market coordinator Mitch Cohen says, 60;Christine and Elaine are what we are all about, finding your passion and sharing it with others. They57;ve been chosen as a pair to be featured because everything about them is professional: High quality matted prints of their work, excellent booth display and a wonderful attitude. I see people return to their booth each month!61; Cohen also pointed out that its artists like Mesker-Garcia and Tremoulet that have been the drive to keep the market going. Yale Street Arts Market will celebrate its fourth year next month (www.bigpinkcookie.com/)
This is somewhat afield of a typical Christine .net post, but this exhibit from the Maker Faire was just too funny to not share. And it is a best practice, of a sort.how to fly under the radar of the meter maid (www.christine.net/2006/04/)
