My intention is to be available to people who have a personal interest in, from all over the world, some history, mythology genealogy of CARLOS -from-Ireland and/or Scotland families, and in the surname itself. When I say “CARLOS ,” I mean ALL its variant spellings, current obsolete (www.lighthousewoods.com....index.html)
Buried St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens County, New York , on 9 March 1925, Section 019, Range W, Grave #s 001-002, same plot as mother Mary CARLOS (Jane CARLOS , registered owner) (www.lighthousewoods.com...._mine.html)
Besides New York State, Michael CARLOS ’ descendents have lived in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, South Dakota, Washington State, West Virginia, and Wisconsin (www.lighthousewoods.com...._mine.html)
I would like to connect with May CARLOS McNALLY’s son Robert Jr.’s family, if he married and had kids. Robert Jr. and my father were close during the 1930s. Robert Jr. vanished (I think) in the early to mid 1950s, and if still alive, possibly moved to eastern Massachusetts, such as the Worcester are (www.lighthousewoods.com...._mine.html)
The surname CARLOS could be a “Cenel Eoghain” sept traditionally descended from Niall of the Nine Hostages . One of Niall of the Nine Hostages ’ sons was named Eoghain (www.lighthousewoods.com....ghain.html)
Among its boundaries, it shows O’Neill’s country Connacht country. Carlos ’ were concentrated in the Kilmore, Elphin, Baslick Roscommon area, with Corless’ southwest of there in County Galway (www.lighthousewoods.com....ghain.html)
It is my opinion that the most likely origin of the surname CARLOS (in my case, of County Roscommon, Ireland) is that it is a branch of the Scottish clan MacLean/Gillean, having left the Scottish Highlands for Ireland as galloglas families (www.lighthousewoods.com....clean.html)
This theory indicates the possibility that those with the surname CARLOS , CARLEY, CORLY, CURLY (and other variants) was a sept of a Scottish clan such as MacLEAN or CAMPBELL, and were “minor” galloglas. This is one possible explanation of how CARLOS ’ got from Scotland to Ireland, if they indeed went from Ireland, to Scotland, and back again to Ireland (www.lighthousewoods.com....oglas.html)
If my CARLOS ’ WERE galloglas families where galloglas is in my genes, so to speak, it would explain a characteristic of mine: In battle, I stand my ground ‘TO THE LAST.’ Contemporary (so-called civilized) society offers many opportunies to battle others in endless ways, although usually not in man-to-man comba (www.lighthousewoods.com....oglas.html)
After revealing that he'll likely miss the beginning of the Grapefruit League season because of surgery to clean both knees, and just a minute after he insisted he's going to remain his quiet self, Carlos Beltran said in response to a harmless inquiry about Johan Santana's addition: (www.nydailynews.com....ells_.html)
Overall, I would say the San Carlos is a good choice for location and accommodation. There are more fashionable places to stay in NYC, but for a fair price the San Carlos has a lot to offer (www.tripadvisor.com...._York.html)
Went to Carlos and Charlieâs for food, couple of drinks and a bit of a bogey. Rod was our waiter â and he made sure that we were looked after and that we had a great time. The strawberry margaritaâs are lovely and a must. The shots are a bit of laugh and all the waiter get up and do. mor (cancun-hotels.tripadvisor.com....nsula.html)
There is evidence for several different theories regarding CARLOS origins in Ireland Scotland. CARLOS ’ could have been allied with a number of other groupings through the centuries. I have tried to keep each distinct, although there is some obvious overlap. It may turn out that any of the theories is related to another one, but in a different time and/or place frankly I can’t figure it out. I am not even going to try to fill in the blanks. I’m not a scholar of Irish history, mythology folklore, just a lay person with a personal interest in the surname CARLOS . I don’t speak or write Gaelic, although I am actually getting the hang of it. (www.lighthousewoods.com....index.html)
PORT ST. LUCIE The good news for the Mets is that as the rhetoric heats up, Carlos Beltran is not backpedaling from his uncharacteristic bit of bravado aimed at Jimmy Rollins and the Phillies last week (www.nydailynews.com....phils.html)
About six months after my husband, Carlos , had a stroke (in March of 2003), he began to experience periods of depression and accompanying listlessness. Nothing interested him. Although he'd watch the television screen, he seemed to be looking off into space, without the slightest interest in whatever appeared on the screen (alzheimers.about.com...._Story.htm)
At first I felt that Carlos was simply bored with life. He had no family here (it's a second marriage for the two of us), and I felt that it was natural for him to remember his once-active lifestyle.I secretly knew, though, that this was probably not true (alzheimers.about.com...._Story.htm)
Carlos does not know that he has Alzheimer's, and I feel that it's not necessary for him to know. He's a macho Mexican, and macho Mexicans never admit that they could have a problem, particularly a mental proble (alzheimers.about.com...._Story.htm)
Carlos Ruiz of the Philadelphia Phillies falls to his knees as he reacts after getting hit by a pitch against the Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park on Sept. 30, 2007 in Philadelphia (baseball.about.com....s-Ruiz.htm)
I stayed at the San Carlos Hotel for three nights in January. The room was very spacious by NYC standards. The accommodations were clean and well kept. The coffee pot and refrigerator were much appreciated. With its address on E. 50th between Third and Lexington Avenues, the San Carlos is an ideal location. The Lexington Ave subway is around the corner, Rockefeller Center and Fifth Ave shopping is three blocks west, and the Times Square area is several blocks west. If you wish to avoid the craziness but still feel close to Times Square and the theater district, this hotel is an excellent choice. (www.tripadvisor.com...._York.html)
Breakfast at San Carlos consists of a variety of breads (including raisin bread), rolls and bagels for toasting, as well as pastries, yogurt and cottage cheese. The dark chocolate pastry roll was particularly good! There was a fruit basket with the usual suspects , too. Beverages included coffee, tea, orange juice and a pitcher of water (www.tripadvisor.com...._York.html)
Stayed at the San Carlos on a business trip from 1/15-1/18 and was very impressed. Years ago I had stayed across the street at the old Plaza 50 which is now the Affinia 50 and knew this was a great location. I got a great deal on a one bedroom suite on a buy two get the third night free special. What a bargain! The room was huge and a great place to unwind, stretch out, and get some work done in the evenings. There were two bathrooms, a nice kitchenette, and ample space. My colleagues were at the Hilton by our office on W.55th street and were all complaining about their rooms. (www.tripadvisor.com...._York.html)
My husband & I have been going to Cancun for 11 years. We visited Carlos & Charlies when it was it a different location (on the lagoon) and had a blast, and have been back every year since. We are now 50 & still go with a crowd that likes to have fun. The waiters do their best to get. more (cancun-hotels.tripadvisor.com....nsula.html)
This was our third trip to Cancun and each time, we've had great experiences at Carlos ' n Charlie's. Our group this year consisted of 11 people between 23 and 57. Everyone loved Carlos ' n Charlie's.This year, we used our $30 dinner-plus-all-you-can-drink for 3 hours coupon from Entertainment Plus. The dinners were excellent and the drinks were strong. The entire. mor (cancun-hotels.tripadvisor.com....nsula.html)
This was a difficult one to make out. Booked this without seeing the mainly excellent reviews, based on a friend's recommendation, who I was going to NY with. My friend had stayed here loads of times so I kind of went along with it to avoid having to think where else to stay. I have seen this hotel described by some as a boutique hotel. Still not 100% certain what that really means, as I have also seen the Hudson described as boutique but in terms of design they are chalk and cheese with Hudson as hip, cutting edge and San Carlos very traditional new yor (www.tripadvisor.com...._York.html)
