We chose Bob Giraldi to direct this cinema spot for our campaign because he&s a master at capturing raw energy, said Deirdre Robinson director of brand marketing at Verizon. Bob&s work was exceptional and he communicated the intensity of J. Ivy&s passion and spirit (www.ragingartists.com....g/2007/02/)

Were the American People in sympathy with Trump's dimestore demagoguery? You betcha! As the decade Bob Giraldi built drew to a close, La Jolla's own Bob and Ann Gotfredson were hipping the Times' John M. Glionna to their own plan to fight back against the financial volleys against sacred American institutions, with a Japanese-product boycott that would kick in on December 7. Bob Gotfredson explained the message of Akio Morita's book: 'We have a lot of wealth in your country. We employ a lot of your people, and one of these days we're going to show you the samurai sword (opinion.latimes.com....d_objects/)

The setting of the film is in New York 's Queens. The film is basicallypresented in English with sparing subtitles where necessary. The moodof the story is suggested from the beginning shot trained on Bai Lingin a 'limo' to/from airport, as flashback memories unfold. Scenes maybe reminiscent of Wedding Banquet 1993 (director Ang Lee ), and a veryAudrey Hepburn looking (hair-do especially hugging) Bai Ling's leanface; also Eat a Bowl of Tea 1989 (director Wayne Wang ), and even Dinner Rush 2000 (director Bob Giraldi , also set in Queens), butPan's story/film holds its own (www.imdb.com/title/tt0293146/)

In 1976, in the era of nouvelle cuisine, he cooked at L'Oasis, a Michelin three-star restaurant in La Napoule in the south of France . He worked for a year with the legendary chef Paul Bocuse in Lyons, France . In 1980, he became chef at Normandie, the French dining room of the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Six years later, he moved to New York and opened Lafayette, a French restaurant in the Drake Swissotel. But he soon saw that rich French food was no longer the way to success. So in 1989, he, Phil Suarez and Bob Giraldi , television producers and restaurant investors, started Jo Jo on East 64th Street. The goal was main dishes under $20, and it was his first major success. Next came Vong on East 54th Street, which called on his Asian experience and before long had branches in Mexico City , London and around the world (topics.nytimes.com....gerichten/)
