Hotel is located near to the harbour and central for all 101 attractions ie shops, restaurants, clubs. The double glazing kept out most of the late night noise although we were kept awake one night by revellers in the hotel: I assume the staff interceded because the noise stopped suddenly. Apart from this, we found the staff friendly helpful, booking excursions and airport transfers (www.tripadvisor.com....javik.html)
Drop off the application two days before the marriage date. If mailing the application, it needs to arrive two weeks early instead. Note that the application requires two witnesses' names and birth dates. They do not have to be at the wedding itself. You can obtain an application form from the office of the District Magistrate of Reykjavik. The marriage will be held there as well.
